Joining a drive?

Your organiser has covered Vroom One. You do not need to pay — not for the invitation, not for the app, not for navigation or offline maps.

  1. 1. Open your invitation

Your organiser sends a personal invitation link or an event join code. Open a personal link in your browser to review the event and respond before installing the app. Follow the invitation’s access instructions: some events require an account using your invited email; others let you continue without one. Enter a join code in the app when the event allows code access.

  2. 2. Install the app

Turn-by-turn navigation, offline maps and live tracking need the Vroom One app on a supported iPhone or Android phone. Follow your invitation into the app; sign in with the invited account when the event requires one. During internal testing, ask your organiser for the current app testing invitation.

  3. 3. Location permission

The app asks for location permission so the organiser can see you on the live map and so navigation can work. It explains what it needs and why before asking.

  4. 4. Get ready offline

While online, download the event’s maps before travelling. To start a stage without signal, a signed-in driver must also prepare that stage for offline driving and complete the required checks. Maps alone do not authorise a new drive or make messages, SOS delivery or live tracking work offline.

  5. 5. Agree whatever the event needs

If the event needs a waiver signed, your vehicle details or an emergency contact, the app asks only for what is missing for your invitation.

Trouble joining?

If your invitation link has expired, the event is full, or something is not working, contact your organiser first — they can see your invitation status. For anything about the app itself, see Help centre or Support.
